Substitute Food Service Assistant

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for Substitute Food Service Assistants. These positions will be located at various school sites and will be on an as-needed substitute basis. For a description of the classification, please review the job description.

The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review, and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been finalized.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Knowledge and Abilities:

• General application, preparation, and service of large quantities of food.
• Basic kitchen utensils and equipment and their proper use.
• Safe and sanitary procedures and practices relating to school kitchens, materials, and methods.
• Accurately count money and operate a cash register.

PREFERRED: Education and Experience:

• One (1) year of paid experience in food preparation.
