Medical Assistant / Receptionist - Middle Village

Medical Assistant / Receptionist Centers Urgent Care is seeking a motivated and versatile Medical Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing team. This hybrid role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about both patient care and front office operations. - Assist providers with patient care across all ages in a courteous and efficient manner
- Support occupational medicine and worker's compensation services
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient charts
- Work collaboratively with providers, x-ray techs, and fellow medical staff
- Operate within a fully equipped, modern clinical facility with on-site labs, digital x-rays, and EMR
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Assist with check-in/check-out, patient forms, and insurance information
- Handle incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries
- Support day-to-day clerical tasks (filing, photocopying, scanning, supply management)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant medical assisting experience
- Prior front desk or administrative office experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Tech-savvy with solid computer and EMR proficiency
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
