Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students during a maternity leave coverage. This full-time assignment begins in early September and extends through December, with the possibility to continue for the entire school year. You’ll have the support of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and will be provided with detailed caseload information.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapist license in California
• Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to IEPs
• Evaluate student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with the COTA to ensure coordinated intervention strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress to staff and families
• Maintain accurate records of services and student progress
• Adapt interventions and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Engage with school staff for best practice sharing and problem solving
