Job Description:

Includes the following

• Always operate in a safe manner following all company rules including 100% adherence to PPE
• Develops evaluates and improves methods while emphasizing the implementation of quality efficiency process costing and equipment improvements
• Lead cross-functional teams to investigate root cause of Customer Line Claims found through part returns to eliminate the root cause and establish ICAs and PCAs
• Observes and assists higher level Engineers in resolving problematic issues related to specific areas of technology equipment and processes
• Provide continuous updates to Customer QE pertaining to status of current Customer improvement items
• Ensure manufacturing facilities establish clear and concise timelines for when action items will be implemented and ensure they work towards meeting these timelines
• Prepare and distribute Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports to the management
• Track continuous improvement through measurable reports/graphs

Knowledge skills & abilities:

• This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner ensuring Compliance to all Quality related Customer and Internal requirements
• Preference to Certification in formal problem-solving methodologies
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with PCs and application software such as MS Office tools is required

Education:

Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience

Experience:

• 1-3 years prior manufacturing related experience preferred
• Working experience with problem solving tools SPC GD&T and 8D
• Previous working experience with Automotive Quality Operating Systems

Physical Demands:

• Required to sit or stand for long periods of time
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work 40 60 hours per week including weekends and holiday work as required

Travel:

Up to 5% domestic and international may be required as needed

Work Environment:

Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas
