Bilingual Foster Care Specialist

Providing essential support to families seeking to foster or adopt, the part-time hourly Bilingual Foster Care Adoption Resource Specialist will respond to inquiries from Spanish-speaking families, share information about the foster care process, and connect families with local resources, all while working remotely. Key responsibilities Respond to inquiries from prospective foster and adoptive families via phone and email, providing necessary information and referrals Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the National Adoption and Foster Care Information Exchange System by collaborating with state administrators and child welfare professionals Participate in team meetings and professional development activities, contributing to the overall support and development of AdoptUSKids projects Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work (BSW) or a closely related field At least 2 years of professional experience in public child welfare, adoption, or foster care Fluency in Spanish, with demonstrated oral and written proficiency Experience working with diverse populations, including military families and individuals with disabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with client databases
