BAKER (FULL TIME)

Position Summary We are hiring immediately for full‑time BAKER positions at Thomas Hospital, 750 Morphy Avenue, Fairhope, AL 36532. Online applications are accepted only. Schedule: Full‑time; open availability is preferred. Days and hours may vary. More details will be provided during the interview. Requirement: Previous food service and/or baking experience required. Pay Range: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements. Ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and proper equipment. Assist with completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low. Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area. Handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service. Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments; keep display equipment clean and free of debris. Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer‑service oriented manner; relay relevant concerns to supervisors. Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently. Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards. Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed. Complete shift work as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
