We are actively hiring for a Senior Commercial Actuarial Reserving Manager!

Your Role:

As a Senior Commercial Actuarial Reserving Manager, you will develop and provide training to Actuarial Analysts, manage Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts, and provide instructions and guidance on various projects. You will initiate analysis to address business issues and ensure that all schedules and deadlines are met for project completion. You will cultivate and maintain business relationships with internal and external clients.

Your Work:

• Leads monthly booking and quarterly reserve reviews.

• Effectively communicates reserve results and analysis to senior leaders.

• Drive innovation and process improvement efforts across the team.

• Provides effective challenge to leadership.

• Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external clients, via project development.

• Reviews work of Analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects within the required time frame.

• Manages and trains Actuarial Analysts within the department.

• Manages Teams time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership

• Has proactive discussions with key business partners to achieve business objectives with constrained human capital

• Responsible for human resources functions to include recruiting and interviewing prospective employees, conducting performance appraisals, recommending salary actions including promotions and terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures in conjunction with management, recognizing employee’s achievements and counsels employees on performance issues, promotes growth and development of staff thorough coaching and mentoring, provides feedback and guidance to staff relative to productivity.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

• BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 6 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance

• Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 4 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal or commercial lines insurance

• 1+ years of leadership experience

• 3+ years of Reserving experience

• ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society)

• Have a solid understanding of the market landscape

• Requires strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills

• Requires the ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff

• 3+ years of Commercial Lines Reserving experience

• 3+ years experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity

• 6+ years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on Commercial Lines insurance

• Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 4+ years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on Commercial Lines insurance

• FCAS

• Expert-level problem solving and critical thinking skills.

• Proven oral and written communication skills, including the ability to give formal presentations.

• Proven team leadership ability.

• In depth actuarial industry knowledge and knowledge of the insurance marketplace.

• Ability to prioritize work, organizes time, and balances multiple projects

• Creates a collaborative, inclusive and psychologically safe environment, demonstrating authenticity and fostering trust to inspire and empower team members and colleagues

Please note we are hiring for this role remote anywhere in the United States with the following exceptions: Hawaii and Alaska.

The national average salary range for this position is $177,525.00-$197,250.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $177,525.00-$236,650.00. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 20% of eligible pay.Colorado Specific Job Range :$177,525.00 - $216,950.00This job posting will be unposted on Thu, 8 Oct 2026.
