Staff Pharmacist

Victory Medical is seeking an organized, highly motivated, customer-oriented individual to join our team as a full time staff pharmacist. Victory Medical is a family oriented, locally owned business. The starting pay for this position is $60-$65/hour based on experience and/or bilingual communication.

Job duties include:

• Administer the process of dispensing medication to patients according to their physician's order, with highest attention to accuracy.
• Provide pharmacy services to medical practitioners.
• Counsel patients and medical practitioners regarding the nature and use of drugs.
• Oversee the preparation of all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges and inventory.
• Provide guidance, training and supervision to pharmacy interns and technicians during course of work and monitor performance.
• Responsible for managing all the clinical programs.
• Responsible for achieving individual pharmacy operating goals related to business objectives.
• Follow established policies and procedures to achieve quality improvement objectives.
• Meet safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Document and report medication errors and quality related events.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations for retail and compounding pharmacy.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• High level of business acumen as it relates to the operation of a retail pharmacy.
• The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of the use, clinical effects, and composition of drugs, including their chemical, biological, and physical properties.
• Ability to supervise support staff and ensure an efficient workflow.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.

• Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.
• Must possess a professional appearance and possess excellent communication skills

Education and/or experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
• Minimum 2 years work pharmacy experience in high volume setting (NOT internship or training).

Certifications, licenses and registrations:

• Pharmacy license
