CNC Machinist

Responsibilities include setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines such as lathe or mill, to machine parts to specification. Job duties include analyzing each job for proper selection of fixturing, cutting parameters, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, programming requirements, and quality control of finished part, operation of in-house CAD/CAM system to program various CNC machines, performing all machine maintenance, and verifying conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments. Requirements include the ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally, a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), three to five years related experience and/or training, strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude, ability to read and interpret blueprints, and knowledge of CNC programming and general machining principles, including the use of gages and measurement devices typical of this skill level and experience.
