Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead crews and oversee daily roofing operations across commercial job sites. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of commercial roofing Foreman experience , strong knowledge of multiple roofing systems, and the ability to manage safety, quality, production, materials, and crews.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, supervise, and assign daily work to roofing crews and contractors.
- Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and daily priorities.
- Enforce OSHA, fall protection, PPE, and company safety procedures .
- Perform quality control and ensure installations meet specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Troubleshoot roofing issues involving substrates, flashing, penetrations, drainage, materials, and installation.
- Perform leak investigations, repairs, maintenance, and roofing installations.
- Track production and report project progress, manpower needs, material shortages, and potential delays to management.
- Train and mentor roofers; assist with inspections and maintain accurate labor/material/work -order information.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Commercial Roofing Foreman experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including Built-up, Modified, EPDM, TPO, PVC, Shingles, Tiles, and Metal .
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and jobsite safety procedures .
- Experience with quality control, production tracking, and jobsite materials/equipment.
- Ability to read commercial roofing blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Strong organization, time management, delegation, and multitasking skills.
- High school diploma/equivalent; equivalent experience or training may substitute.
- Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding roofing work.
- Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. and up to 80 lbs.
- Fluent English required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish — major plus.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Roofing apprenticeship or relevant license.
- Experience training and mentoring roofing crews.
