Lead Software Engineer - Camden

Salary: $125,000 - 205,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship and an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• We are looking for a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• We need 10+ years of experience debugging applications on simulated and target hardware.
• We require experience working with a real-time operating system such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or a comparable platform.
• We expect strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with EVMS, embedded device drivers, board support packages, information assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 or other software certifications such as DO-178, and prior Rust experience.

• We lead a software development team and provide technical direction.
• We analyze requirements and turn them into robust, maintainable solutions.
• We plan development work, define and assign tasks and budgets, and monitor team progress.
• We measure performance using EVMS methods and help ensure process discipline across the full SDLC.
• We guide and support software engineers as a subject matter expert in embedded software development.
• We troubleshoot complex issues, determine root causes, and implement effective fixes independently or with cross-functional teams.
• We apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software for target hardware.
• We collaborate with hardware and software colleagues to assess interfaces, operational requirements, and overall system design.
• We participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
• We create software test plans, procedures, and related technical documentation.
