Contract Role | Senior IT Project Manager in Chattanooga TN 1 year contract Pay Range: 70 -99.13/hour on w2

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects according to specifications, within budget, from initiation through completion.

The Senior Project Manager leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to guide project teams. This includes controlling project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure successful delivery within defined constraints such as time, budget, people, quality, and materials, while maintaining a high level of quality.

This role is typically assigned to large, multifaceted projects. The Senior Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for assigned projects and assumes leadership responsibility for safely managing project execution.

Capable of managing a large project budget over *** million, or a portfolio of projects with an aggregate total exceeding *** million across all active assignments.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field, or equivalent education, training, and/or related work experience. Master's degree is preferred but not required.

Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) within one year of appointment or assuming the Senior Project Manager role (see SPP-34.018 for exceptions or extension of the one-year timeframe). Additional professional certifications or licensure (e.g., PE, CPA, CFP, etc.) are preferred but not required, demonstrating commitment and excellence in the professional field.
