Construction Management Intern - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

At Velocity Constructors, an internship isn't about watching from the sidelines. We're an employee-owned general contractor specializing in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, and our internship gives you real experience both in the field and alongside our project management team. You'll work with the people planning, managing and building infrastructure Colorado communities depend on every day. This isn't a shadow program. It's a pipeline.

What You'll Do

You'll work alongside Velocity project teams in our Englewood office and on active project sites, gaining hands-on exposure to:

• Submittals, RFIs and change orders

• Budget and schedule tracking

• Field reporting and quality control

• Safety and project coordination

• Vendors, subcontractors, crews and equipment

• Estimating and preconstruction

You'll learn from Project Managers and Superintendents and gain exposure to other areas of the business, including estimating, accounting and procurement.

One Internship. Two Career Paths.

Not sure yet which side of construction fits you best? Good. That's part of the experience as a Velocity intern. You'll spend the internship learning both sides of the business before deciding where you may want to take your career next.

Intern → Project Engineer → Assistant Project Manager → Project Manager

· FIELD OPERATIONS
Intern → Field Engineer → Superintendent

Interns may be considered for full-time opportunities with Velocity following graduation.

Who We're Looking For

Students pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related degree who bring a strong work ethic, a coachable mindset, a commitment to safety and a willingness to learn and take ownership. You don't need to have your career mapped out yet. Come ready to work, learn and figure out where you want to go.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, temporary, non-exempt summer internship paying $22.00–$26.00 per hour, based on education, experience, skills and qualifications. Your time here counts. The time spent working here as a Velocity intern counts toward eligibility for Velocity's employee benefit programs. If your internship turns into a career with Velocity, you're already building toward medical and retirement benefits, as well as employee ownership. As a Velocity intern, you're also eligible for Colorado paid sick leave and Colorado FAMLI coverage in accordance with applicable state requirements.
