Job Title: PHLpreK Lead Teacher
Location: Wonderspring – New Market West Center
Pay: $20.00 -22.28 per hour

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a dedicated team member to support our New Market West Center in a PHLpreK Preschool classroom as the Lead Teacher.

About the Role
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day classroom activities, using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD to guide instruction and support each child’s development.

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
• Lead daily classroom activities, including small group lessons and individualized support.
• Provide active supervision at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
• Observe and assess children’s progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD.
• Create and maintain an engaging classroom environment that support hands-on learning.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the Wonderspring team.
• Support and guide assistant teachers to keep the classroom running smoothly.
• Comply with the partnership requirements of PHLpreK

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in ECE/EDU or a related field
• 2+ years of experience working with children
• Strong teamwork and flexibility
• Leadership to build a strong teaching team
• Ability to keep information private
• Basic knowledge of childcare rules
• Must obtain all required clearances and complete a Health Assessment with TB screening prior to employment.
