Job Summary The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for a variety of functions in support of sales efforts such as preparing quotes, setting appointments, contacting customers, monitoring sales volumes, establishing sales trends, and analyzing trends. The role also contains an administrative support aspect for the Business Development Managers (BDM). The ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues will also play a part in the day-to-day role of the BDC. You will need to exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Overall, the BDC will contribute to the sales objectives via client satisfaction and retention by providing support, knowledge and diversified administrative and related support to the BDMs and indirectly to all other staff members across the organization. Duties and Responsibilities Providing office and administrative support for both BDM and local branch; Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and follow-ups for the BDMs. Maintain and update CRM systems and calendars with accurate customer and activity information. Prepare and distribute sales-related reports (weekly, monthly, and ad hoc). Assist in the preparation of proposals, quotes, presentations, and client communications. Track customer interactions and ensure timely follow-up on action items. Coordinate travel arrangements and meeting logistics for the BDM team, as needed. Develop a thorough understanding of the company's diverse product and services portfolio. Qualifications Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Comfortable stepping into a hands-on warehouse support role when needed. Personal Attributes: Reliable, proactive, and resourceful. Strong team player with a customer-first mindset. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions Office Environment: Handling calls, emails, and virtual meetings with clients and potential customers. Fast-Paced: The role involves managing multiple client inquiries and sales opportunities simultaneously, requiring effective time management and prioritization skills. Customer Interaction: BDCs will engage with customers from various industries, such as chemical manufacturing, oil and gas, and general manufacturing, through phone calls, emails, and in-person.
