A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Defense Practice Group in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of civil litigation matters in a collaborative and mentorship-driven environment, and also on a HYBRID schedule. Position: Associate Attorney - General Liability Defense? 137800 Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid Compensation: Base salary up to $190,000 plus bonus opportunities Responsibilities Manage an assigned caseload with partner oversight and mentorship Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy development Take and defend depositions Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances Assist with trial preparation and litigation proceedings Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors Manage discovery deadlines and case documentation Qualifications 2+ years of civil litigation experience on the defense side Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach Base salary up to $190,000 Bonus opportunities and business origination credit Hybrid work flexibility 401(k) with firm match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Life insurance Paid time off and parental leave HSA and FSA options #J-18808-Ljbffr Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting
