Job Overview

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Rolling Mill Machine Operators to join a production team in Humble, TX . The facility specializes in high-quality copper wire manufacturing . In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring rolling mill machinery to reduce and shape copper rods into specified dimensions for wire production.

We have multiple positions open for both schedules, offering an excellent opportunity to secure a stable career with a growing manufacturer.

Shift Schedules Available

This position operates on a 12-hour shift schedule providing stable hours and excellent work-life balance:

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Core Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely set up, adjust, and operate rolling mill machinery to process copper rod down to precise dimensions.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor roller speeds, tension, alignment, and lubrication/cooling systems during production runs to ensure smooth operations.
• Quality Control: Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to check copper dimensions and surface quality against exact technical specifications.
• Material Handling: Load and feed copper stock into the mill and safely manage the spooling or coiling of finished materials.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical or operational issues during production to minimize downtime.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean work area under 5S standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial manufacturing operating rolling mills, wire drawing machines, or heavy metal production equipment.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read production blueprints, routing sheets, and use precision measuring instruments.
• Physical Ability: Comfort working a 12-hour shift, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs safely.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset.
