Join a Growing Food Manufacturing Team We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join our procurement team. The Buyer will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective purchase of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies needed to support our food manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, experience managing supplier relationships, and a passion for maintaining a reliable supply chain in a fast-paced food production environment. Key Responsibilities Source and purchase ingredients, packaging materials, and production supplies. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts. Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted supply. Analyze market conditions and identify opportunities for cost savings. Track supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and service levels. Issue and manage purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation. Resolve supply chain issues and expedite deliveries when necessary. Maintain compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing process. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of food industry regulations and supply chain practices is a plus.
