Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security off all assets, employees, customers and visitors of Sunshine Minting, Inc. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of essential functions/duties. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Monitor the adherence to Sunshine Minting's security policies and procedures by all employees, visitors, and contractors. Coordinate the secure transport of materials to other job sites as needed. Coordinate with contracting security companies to provide adequate on-site security in all forms, such as guards, electronic and video surveillance. Ensure that electronic surveillance tapes are recorded, rotated, and catalogued on a daily basis. Audit contracting security companies to ensure that they are providing security service that is in line with the needs of Sunshine Minting, Inc. Investigate and write reports on security violations, accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities. Provide any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors with the companies procedures and policies. Audit existing security policies and procedures and advise where improvements are needed. Provide weekly Security reports to management as required. Maintain up to date files on all necessary security documentation; i.e. Confidentiality Agreements, Visitor/Contractor Acknowledgements, etc. Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Good working knowledge of security and enforcement procedures as well as safety practices in a business environment. Must be bondable. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff, customers, and vendors. Understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent plus any Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Four to five years experience in related security field. Ability to read, write, do basic math, and communicate effectively. Complete understanding of security procedures.
