About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hours - Days Hours per Shift: 37.5 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: NY License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, including PALS, as care will be provided for pediatric patients as young as 1 year old. Description: Unit is focused on delivering high-quality post-anesthesia care. Registered Nurses will be responsible for monitoring patients as they recover from anesthesia. The role involves caring for patients, including pediatric patients. Candidates must possess necessary certifications, including ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Experience in a PACU setting is essential. The shift will primarily consist of 8-hour days, ensuring adequate patient care. Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team are crucial. Candidates are expected to maintain a professional appearance. The unit will provide department-specific orientation for new hires. All applicants must comply with cancellation policies. Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
