About the Role
The Company is seeking a Business Unit Vice President for the Americas region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full P&L of the business unit, leading a small production facility, and overseeing sales, finance, HR, supply chain, logistics, and procurement. This role requires a strong commercial background with a proven track record in driving business development and securing high-value contracts. The Vice President will be tasked with developing and implementing the commercial strategy for the region, leading all commercial activities, and ensuring the strategic direction aligns with the overall segment. The role also involves identifying and securing new business with private industry and government agencies, as well as working with global leadership teams to drive operational improvements. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field, with an MBA or Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 15 years' experience in industrial B2B manufacturing, particularly with chemicals, lubricants, or related products, is required, along with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles with a focus on commercial operations and P&L management. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and commercial acumen, be a strategic thinker, and have the ability to work with all levels of management. Experience in a global company and fluency in English, with Spanish being highly valuable, are also essential. The role demands a business-minded individual with a strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and the ability to travel 50% across the Americas region.
