Position Overview We are seeking a Junior M&O Project Manager – FETU to support the successful delivery of facility projects including construction, modernization, environmental remediation, and repairs. This role involves coordinating across multiple stakeholders, managing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, coordinating, processing, and expediting construction and modernization projects Act as liaison among project management teams, maintenance units, environmental consultants, and contractors Review Requests for Assistance (RFAs), define project scope, and evaluate drawings Support funding processes, including budget review and preparation of funding request packages Develop project plans, track progress, and monitor labor costs Review and evaluate cost proposals for accuracy and feasibility Coordinate asbestos abatement and lead remediation projects, including contract execution (Task Order, JOC, A&B) Assist in scheduling environmental abatement activities and facility occupancy transitions Review contractor documentation such as submittals, daily logs, and certified payroll Analyze change orders and assess scope or cost adjustments Support project closeout activities and compliance certifications Assist in procurement processes, including bid preparation and contract award tracking Maintain project tracking systems and ensure data accuracy Participate in project kickoff meetings and ensure proper documentation of safety requirements Minimum Requirements Experience: 3 years of full-time professional experience in project or construction management Experience covering full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out Experience in public sector or educational facility construction is preferred Knowledge of construction safety protocols, Cal OSHA requirements, and environmental procedures is a plus Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science , or a related field Additional qualifying experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Asset and Work Management Systems (e.g., Maximo) Familiarity with asbestos and lead abatement processes Benefits 401(k) retirement plan Comprehensive Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision) Paid Time Off for personal and vacation days
