Registered Nurse (RN) – Transfer Center (Non‑Bedside) Location: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 Pay: $2,400 to $2,500 per week Shift: 12‑hour nights (3 days per week) with every other weekend required Contract Duration: 13 weeks (start date ASAP) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced RN for a Transfer Center role within the Dignity Health Sacramento system. This is a non‑bedside, coordination‑focused position where you will manage patient transfers, collaborate with physicians and specialists, and ensure appropriate placement across healthcare facilities. Required Qualifications Active RN License (CA or Compact) Minimum 2+ years of ICU, ER, or Transfer Center experience Strong acute care background Proficiency in clinical assessment and critical thinking Experience with Cerner or EPIC EMR systems Excellent computer skills and multitasking ability Preferred Skills Transfer Center experience Familiarity with TeleTracking and TigerConnect Strong typing speed (typing test score recommended) Key Responsibilities Facilitate patient transfers across Dignity Health and external facilities Review and assess clinical information, vitals, and patient reports Coordinate with physicians and specialists to secure accepting providers Arrange bed placement and appropriate facility assignment Utilize systems such as Cerner, TeleTracking, TigerConnect, and Google applications Manage multiple cases simultaneously (10–15 active cases per shift) Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders Schedule & Requirements 12‑hour night shifts Every other weekend required Flexible to work any day of the week No floating Return to office minimal; work is primarily remote or on‑site as needed Work Environment Fast‑paced, high‑multitasking environment Heavy use of multiple computer systems simultaneously Business casual attire; scrubs optional Additional Details Orientation: 1 day general + 3–5 days department training Free onsite parking and EV charging available Café onsite with limited hours Benefits Competitive pay of $2,400 to $2,500 per week No direct patient care – ideal for clinicians transitioning off bedside Centralized, high‑impact coordination role Experience in multi‑system hospital operations Required Certifications
