The Arc of Cape May County, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our beautiful and fully equipped Day Program in South Dennis. As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping them achieve their goals for independence and quality of life. Duties Provide person-centered supports that respect the rights and choices of each individual Assist with activities and community outings Assist with daily personal care and hygiene needs Support individuals with day program activities Administer medications as per physician's orders Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality Assist with mobility and lifting when necessary Skills Experience in medication administration Ability to work with people with autism and developmental disabilities Knowledge of home and community care practices Background in social work or related fields Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift and drive as needed Proficiency in meal preparation Joining our team as a DSP offers: Competitive pay starting at $21.00 per hour after completion of orientation and training at $16.07 per hour Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4pm each day Paid vacation time, sick leave Medical, dental benefits, and employee savings plan Qualifications At least 18 years of age, valid driver's license and a good driving record, High School Diploma or GED.
