Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) – Permanent Position

Location: Fremont, California
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Compensation: $44–$49/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 35 hours/week
Weekend Rotation: None

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

• Assist patients with improving functional abilities and independence in daily activities

• Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals

• Provide therapeutic activities focused on mobility, coordination, strength, self-care, and functional performance

• Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely

• Communicate patient responses and progress with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team

• Educate patients and caregivers on appropriate therapeutic techniques and strategies

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful treatment environment

• Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulations

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license or eligibility to obtain licensure in California

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• New graduates are encouraged to apply

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
