TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Knoxville, Tennessee, 37916!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years current experience required License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date Must have 2 years current experience in cardiac telemetry med/surg Description: The role involves providing care in a telemetry unit. You will manage patients with cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them accordingly. Experience with post-op procedures and administration/monitoring of sedation is required. The daily patient census ranges from 12 to 18 patients. You will need to float to other areas in the hospital as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Floating policies comply with current standards and will provide appropriate orientation when moving to new areas. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Must be prepared to manage a patient ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse. This role demands the ability to work during major holidays, as requests for time off during those periods are not accommodated. You will be expected to maintain certifications and licenses without lapse. Compliance with all health and safety regulations is mandatory.
