Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years. Requirements Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System. Additional Details Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Special Requests Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. If previously employed at the facility, any exception must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System. Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility. Preferred Skills/Experience Telemetry strip reading preferred. Unit Details Uses Epic charting. Nurse:patient ratios typically 1:4, average 1:5, and can go up to 1:6 on rare occasion. Patient population includes pediatrics to geriatrics; typical Med-Surg patients include pneumonia, CHF, COPD, hysterectomy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, babies with elevated bilirubin, asthma exacerbation, and swing bed rehab patients. RNs rarely titrate drips; common drips include insulin and antibiotics. Travelers may be charge or preceptor; charge nurse may take a 1:2 assignment on occasion. Nurse aides/patient care techs are staffed at 1:10. Uses remote telemetry tech; monitors listed as Spacelab transitioning to Philips. RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP home regimen, and occasional high flow; RT sets up and monitors. Shift & Scheduling Weekend requirement: minimum of 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; may be more if needed. For days, weekends are Saturday or Sunday. Holidays as needed. No call.
