Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a strategic, high-energy Senior Account Director with tech and policy experience to join our growing Technology & Corporate Communications practice. This role is for a PR powerhouse with 8+ years of experience at the intersection of technology and public policy who is ready to lead a dynamic mix of high-profile clients including: tech brands, entrepreneurs, innovators, policy advocacy groups, and the VC firms fueling the future. Our roster spans everything from AI governance and ethical tech to policy advocacy, and hardware. If you are passionate about shaping tech policy and AI discourse while remaining calm in the fast-paced world of innovation, this is your next challenge

• Strategic Account Leadership: Lead a diverse roster of accounts across tech policy with total autonomy, ensuring corporate reputation efforts, regulatory communications, policy advocacy, and executive thought leadership programs are executed flawlessly.

• Integrated Narrative Development: Architect 360-degree strategies that translate complex  technologies and policy initiatives into compelling narratives across traditional media, digital platforms, and policy forums.

• Proactive Client Counsel: Serve as a daily strategic partner for clients, providing unprompted fresh ideas and navigating stressful or complex situations with thoughtful, calm counsel.

• Media Mastery: Leverage your extensive network of media contacts at outlets like TechCrunch, WIRED, Forbes, and CNBC to secure impactful placements that influence the bottom line. You are a strategist who still pitches and loves the win.

• Content Excellence: Produce sharp, persuasive materials—from AI governance positioning and complex messaging frameworks to compelling pitch ideas.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our internal experts in social media, brand integration, and design to deliver holistic campaigns that move at the speed of culture.

• Mentorship & Team Coaching: Motivate and coach junior staff, providing the consistent feedback and guidance necessary to drive efficiency and develop the agency’s future leaders.

• Growth & Business Development: Contribute to new business proposals and identify organic growth opportunities within your current account roster.

• The Tech & AI Policy Strategist: 10+ years of PR and communications experience with a deep understanding of AI developments, regulatory landscapes, tech policy, and the VC ecosystem.

• The Nuanced Leader: You possess exceptional situational awareness and strong EQ. You have the executive presence to command a high-stakes meeting, but the humility and judgment to take a step back and empower your team or client to take the lead when necessary.

• An Integrated Thinker: You understand policy nuances and know how to humanize complex topics for broader audiences. You’re also  plugged into real-time conversation on platforms like X and quick to connect the dots between what’s trending and what it means for a client’s business. 

• A Skilled & Organized Project Manager: You excel at managing the backend of accounts—from results reporting and budget trackers to complex multi-project timelines—with meticulous detail.

• The Player-Coach: You are as comfortable leading a senior-level brainstorm as you are rolling up your sleeves to staff a press event or finalize a media alert.

• The High-Performer: You take pride in over-delivering and have an innate curiosity that drives you to explore new industries and creative concepts.
