KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical and character development for ages walking through 11 years old. Our curriculum is science-based, parent-focused, and taught by professionals. We're growing our coaching team and looking for coaches who bring passion, energy, and a genuine love for working with kids.

About the Role

Part-Time Youth Fitness Coach, Staten Island

Location: 2807 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314

Job Type: Part-Time (full-time hours available)

Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and certification)

As a Youth Fitness Coach, you'll lead fun, science-based classes for kids from walking age through 11 years old, building brainpower, physical skills, and character on the blue floor every day. It's not babysitting and it's not a typical gym job. It's youth coaching that changes how kids see themselves.

No extensive professional coaching experience required. We provide paid training and certification through KidStrong HQ. If you love working with kids and bring the energy, we'll teach you the rest.

Child development, early childhood education, or pediatric OT/PT (a major plus)

Youth sports coaching, athletics, or recreation programs

Camp counseling, childcare, or tutoring

What You'll Do

Coach youth fitness and athletics classes across all age groups (walking through 11) using our Brain, Physical, and Character curriculum

Earn your Coach Certification through our HQ training program. We invest in you from day one

Create high-energy, positive experiences for kids and families before, during, and after every class

Run school-break camps and support special events, including movie nights and birthday parties

Build genuine relationships with KidStrong families. Our philosophy: families don't leave KidStrong

Support community outreach, local events, and tabling as we grow on Staten Island

Keep the center in great shape through daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and upkeep

Who You Are

18+ and a self-starter

Passionate about working with kids. This one is non-negotiable

High energy with a confident, engaging presence

Comfortable talking with parents about their child's progress

CPR certified, or willing to certify before your start date

Ready to move: you'll be on your feet, lifting up to 25 lbs, and covering serious ground every shift
