Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and learning needs this school year. This opening is for an experienced, ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist who will be stepping in to cover medical leave through the district’s winter break and may also assist with compensatory services as needed after the primary SLP returns.

You’ll enjoy a consistent, manageable caseload of approximately 40 elementary students—with some PreK—across a single school site. The students present with mild to moderate needs, allowing a real chance to deliver impactful, individualized therapy. Collaborate with dedicated educational staff to enhance students’ skills in communication, language development, and social interaction during this vital coverage period.

Qualifications

• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Previous experience in school-based settings, specifically working with elementary and PreK populations
• Ability to manage mild-moderate caseloads independently
• Strong collaboration, documentation, and organizational skills
• Not accepting Clinical Fellows (CF) or SLP Assistants (SLPA) for this role
• Not available for 1099 or teletherapy contractors

Responsibilities

• Direct therapy and intervention for students identified with speech/language needs
• Complete evaluations and maintain timely, thorough documentation
• Collaborate with special education and general education staff to foster student progress
• Assist with compensatory SLP services as needed when regular staff returns
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute insights for ongoing student success
