Sr Underwriter-Environmental

Job Summary Primary details: Full‑time employee. Locations: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; or New York City, NY. Work arrangement: Hybrid – in office 2–3 days per week. Salary range: $99,000 – $186,000 (national range based on location and experience). Responsibilities Review, evaluate, and price environmental insurance business using underwriting judgment and regulatory compliance. Identify and mitigate risks through due diligence and issue escalation. Mentor junior underwriters to ensure efficient team performance. Comply with legal and regulatory requirements and record insurance risks. Establish and maintain relationships with producers and customers. Assist in improving underwriting practices and pricing strategies. Research and obtain market intelligence to enhance profit goals. Contribute to special projects and department initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred: Environmental underwriting experience.
