Truck Driver CDL A Home Weekly Solo

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Rocky Mount, VA – offering weekly pay and benefits for a driving career you can feel good about. Pay and Schedule Weekly pay: $1500 guarantee for 4 weeks training; average $1730 or more per week. Solo Miles Pay: $0.61 per mile. Solo Stops Pay: $31.00 per stop. Jobsite Deliveries: $50.00 per stop. Per Diem Pay: $65.00 per night for 3‑5 layovers/week. Paid training. Schedule: varies, 34‑hour reset at home. Start time: varies. Route Details Deliver SOLO to Eastern Region/Some Midwest. Route: Regional with 3‑5 layovers/week. Tractor type: sleepers. Trailer type: 53' Dry Van. Freight: touch – windows & doors. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Pass a Ryder Drug Test. Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements. Class A truck driving experience: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations, and or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs. Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
