Inside Sales

Position Purpose The primary function of Inside Sales is to provide product knowledge on building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs for drywall, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, construction safety items, drywall compound, and accessories for the drywall industry. Key Responsibilities Take orders at the sales counter and over the phone Build relationships with customers Use the company computer system to enter orders Complete sales orders and tender cash sales Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine strategic sales approaches Overcome objections of prospective customers Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports Direct Manager / Direct Reports Reports to Sales Supervisor, Sales Manager, Customer Service Supervisor, and Branch Manager. Travel Requirements N/A Physical Requirements Remain in a stationary position in an office environment for 50% of the time Frequently move about inside the office to access files and office machinery Operate basic office machinery Communicate with team and management and exchange accurate information Work constantly in an office environment Working Conditions Office, Sales Counter. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; 4‑year degree preferred Ability to self‑manage, show initiative, and be comfortable meeting the public Team player with attention to detail and good organizational skills Competencies Problem‑solve and prioritize tasks Manage stress depending on deadlines and ongoing projects Multitask Receive and analyze information Quickly communicate solutions if problems occur Demonstrate a high degree of sound judgment and initiative Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity Embody servant leadership and appreciate diverse perspectives Work independently and on a team; lead, execute, and delegate as needed Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization Help champion an inclusive working environment by empowering others to bring their full selves Work Location GMS West / Northwest territories – Remote/Virtual, hybrid or in‑office: In Office.
