A Fortune 500 global hospitality company headquartered in downtown Chicago — and a perennial member of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For® list — is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Financial Reporting team, supporting SEC filings, consolidated financial statements, and internal management reporting.

What You'll Do:

\n

\n
• Prepare consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
\n
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statement, and standalone audit reports
\n
• Assist with internal reporting activities including preparation of the monthly CFO reporting package and related analysis
\n
• Prepare consolidating and intercompany elimination journal entries and assist in maintenance of the chart of accounts
\n
• Monitor, analyze, and review data loaded into Hyperion
\n
• Review financial and other information submitted by divisions for financial reporting accuracy
\n
• Review debt covenant calculations
\n
• Support the preparation and review of quarterly earnings releases and related materials
\n
• Prepare standalone entity financial statements and footnotes
\n
• Perform review of XBRL tagging to ensure reporting requirements are met
\n
• Prepare support for external auditors and participate in special projects and accounting research as needed
\n
• Develop process improvements and increase efficiencies in consolidation and reporting procedures
\n

What We're Looking For:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
\n
• 3–5 years of accounting experience; at least 2 years of public accounting experience preferred
\n
• CPA preferred
\n
• SEC and US GAAP financial reporting experience preferred
\n
• Hyperion or similar ERP/reporting system experience a plus
\n
• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
\n
