About the Agency The Mississippi Division of Medicaid responsibly provides access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low-income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged and disabled.

About the Position This is a time limited position. The Nurse Care Manager II is responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge to appropriately review and approve Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) applications including approving clinical eligibility for admission to long term care programs including the provision of services for Assisted Living (AL), Elderly and Disabled (E&D), Independent Living (IL), and Traumatic Brain Injury/Spinal Cord Injury (TBI/SCI) waivers. Participates in quality improvement activities, such as record reviews, in-person and telephone interviews of waiver participants, assisting with waiver renewals and evaluating performance measure data.

What you'll need to be successful Preferred experience in long term case or home and community-based services programs. Preferred experience in interpreting and implementing federal and state regulations. Preferred experience in auditing medical records, data gathering and analysis, and quality assurance experience. Must have strong oral, written, and computer skills.
