About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the primary physician executive leader, fostering a culture of compassionate, high-quality healthcare. The CMO will be the key liaison between the medical staff and hospital administration, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality of medical care, supporting physician leadership, and overseeing medical education programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for physician recruitment and retention, championing compliance with medical staff bylaws and regulatory standards, and partnering with senior administration to advance the clinical mission and strategic growth initiatives of the organization. Applicants for the CMO position at the company must have a minimum of 5 years' clinical experience as a licensed physician, with 2 to 3 years' of progressive physician leadership experience. The role requires a graduate of an accredited school of medicine, an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois, and BLS certification. ACLS certification is preferred. The CMO will also be involved in the management of the medical staff services department, including supervision of staff, budget adherence, and policy development. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong background in medical education, training, and a proven track record in physician management and support.
