Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Stepdown unit. The successful candidate will play a vital role in integrating collaborative care planning and implementing nursing standards within the processes of care.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care in alignment with established protocols and standards.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care strategies.
Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Supervise and provide guidance to nursing staff and clinical assistants in patient care delivery.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of care.

Shift Details

12-hour day shifts.
36-hour weekly guarantee.
Every other weekend and holiday work required as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Proficient in using EPIC electronic medical record system.
Charge nurse experience is required.
Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or have a Compact license.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will need to provide RTO (requested time off) in advance and must be flexible with scheduling, particularly during holiday periods. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork, as well as the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
