Associate Director of Youth Faith Formation

The Associate Director of Youth Faith Formation provides leadership, vision, and oversight for the parish's Middle School Ministry, High School Ministry, and Confirmation preparation programs. Working collaboratively with the Director of Faith Formation, parish staff, clergy, volunteers, parents, and teens, the Associate Director fosters opportunities for evangelization, catechesis, discipleship, sacramental preparation, service, and community-building for youth in grades 6-12. The Associate Director supervises Youth Ministry staff, recruits and develops volunteers, ensures compliance with Archdiocesan policies, and supports the ongoing mission of forming young disciples of Jesus Christ. Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, strategic direction, and vision for all Youth Faith Formation programs serving grades 6-12.
• Oversee Middle School Ministry, High School Ministry, Confirmation preparation, retreats, service opportunities, mission experiences, and special events.
• Supervise Youth Ministry staff and provide coaching, support, accountability, and professional development.
• Recruit, train, develop, and retain volunteer Core Teams and catechists.
• Ensure all programming is faithful to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
• Develop strong relationships with parents and families and communicate regularly regarding ministry opportunities and sacramental preparation.
• Develop and manage annual ministry budgets and track expenditures.
• Oversee registration processes, records management, sacramental documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate calendars, facilities scheduling, transportation, retreats, camps, and event logistics.
• Ensure compliance with all Archdiocesan Safe Environment policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with parish clergy, school leadership, Faith Formation staff, and other ministries.
• Participate in parish-wide events, initiatives, and staff meetings.

• Administrative responsibilities including: o Maintain, update and use all relevant databases/parish tools, Flocknote, Raisers Edge, eSpace, Learning Stream, website, etc. in a timely manner. o Prepare annual budget and oversee/track expenditures against budget. o Manage event and program registration, including management of registrations. o Maintain necessary office and program records (rosters, student and volunteer participation, Raisers Edge, sacramental records, sacramental follow up with other churches, student records for sacrament and program participation). o Attend required department meetings and others as needed. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• Baptized, confirmed, and practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Faithful to the teachings of the Magisterium.
• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field; or possession or active pursuit of an Archdiocesan Master Catechist Certification.
• Three to five years of experience in Youth Ministry or related pastoral leadership.
• Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers.
• Strong understanding of adolescent faith development and youth ministry best practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong administrative and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, database management systems, and parish communication platforms.

Working Conditions:

• Office and parish environment.
• Evening and weekend hours are regularly required.
• Travel required for retreats, conferences, mission trips, camps, and other youth ministry activities.
• Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting ministry supplies, and event setup/teardown.
• Duties and responsibilities may vary based on ministry needs and parish priorities.
