Make an impact by providing essential psychological services to students for the upcoming academic year. In this full-time, contract opportunity, professionals will play a pivotal role in supporting student learning and well-being across multiple schools near Lehigh Acres, FL. Assignments may be itinerant, requiring flexibility and the ability to adapt to a variety of campus settings. The position begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, offering a chance to truly engage with diverse student populations.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Psychologist license (required)
- Experience conducting assessments, including testing and report writing
- Familiarity with IEP processes and attendance at meetings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Adaptability to serve across multiple locations as needed
- School-based experience is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments and evaluations to students of varying age groups
- Prepare detailed reports based on assessment findings
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student success
- Deliver counseling and intervention services as required by student plans
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Expect a dynamic workload with approximately 35 hours per week, supporting schools in and around the Fort Myers region. Candidates will work on-site—remote options are not available for this role. The district is targeting interviews to begin on August 3rd, so it's an ideal time to showcase your expertise and passion in school psychology.
