Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianThe Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that finished wheels meet Dicastal quality standards while adhering to all safety requirements.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAlways follow all safety rules and requirementsContribute to a safe work environment by maintaining housekeeping standardsMaintain reliable attendanceFollow instructions to meet daily job assignmentsPrepare necessary materials for assigned tasksProcess, pack, and/or ship products in accordance with quality standardsAccurately record, report, and properly mark scrap and non-conforming partsMaintain a productive work environment through communication and teamworkUsing tools to perform minor cosmetic repairs when applicableMay need to conduct minor rework to finished productPerform other duties as assignedInspection ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate strong attention to detailBecome familiar with wheel types, including proper tagging and labeling for products and shipmentsUtilize Dicastal Appearance Standards, boundary samples, and labeling guidelines to identify and respond to non-conforming partsUse gauging tools to verify products meet required specificationsCollaborate with the quality team to ensure customer requirements are metPerform visual inspections of products on the production lineConduct minor cosmetic repairs as neededLift and move wheels on and off workstations and palletsComplete required documentation accurately and in a timely mannerPerform additional duties as assignedSkills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of six (6) months of manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read and understand written instructions and documents20/20 vision preferred; ability to distinguish colors within the standard spectrum is helpful but not requiredOrganizational Culture ExpectationsWork safely and follow all established guidelinesMaintain punctuality and a positive attitudeStay focused and accountable for assigned tasksTake responsibility for performance and productivityMaintain positive working relationships with team membersSupport consistent workflow across operationsDemonstrate a sense of urgency when neededSupport, coach, and mentor coworkers as appropriateEmbrace and support organizational changesPhysical Work ConditionsAbility to work in a hot environmentAbility to lift varying weights as requiredAbility to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shiftAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)*Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
