Job Requirements

• Board Certified Physician with pediatric hospitalist experience
• Active North Carolina medical license and North Carolina DEA required
• At least 1 year of pediatric hospitalist experience required
• PALS certification required
• Experience managing pediatric subspecialty patients
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity inpatient pediatric setting
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide night coverage for pediatric hospitalist patients
• Evaluate and manage 10-18 patients per shift
• Perform lumbar punctures and place select IJ lines as needed
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists and the inpatient care team
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to hospitalized children
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and communicate clearly during handoffs
