Staff / Senior Accountant

Burmester & Associates, PC is a well-established and growing public accounting firm with offices in Woodstock, Georgia, and Asheville, North Carolina. We serve a diverse client base that includes businesses in the construction, real estate, and service industries, as well as high-net-worth individuals. We are seeking staff and senior accountants who are looking to build a long-term career in public accounting. The ideal candidate has public accounting experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work. Responsibilities: Preparing compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP Preparation and/or review of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings Tax research and planning Communicating effectively with clients and meeting critical deadlines Managing or assisting with projects including but not notlimited to month-end/year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field Enrolled Agent or CPA a plus Working knowledge of UltraTax and CS Professional Suite, Quickbooks, and construction related software packages, a plus Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products Experience serving clients in construction and real estate industries is beneficial Strong client relationship skills Competitive salary and merit-based bonus program 401k with employer match Health insurance allowance provided Paid time off and holidays Continuing education and training provided Paid professional membership and licenses Casual in office attire Charitable contribution match up to $1,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
