Title: Division Manager
Reports to:  President
FLSA Status: Exempt
Division: Boone, NC

Summary:

Under the direction of the President, the Division Manager will be focused on market growth of current product and service sales as well as developing and expanding future products and services. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily business operations
• Create and manage budgets
• Control all employment conditions to be safe for employees, customers, and the public
• Manage all facets of the business to achieve an acceptable profit
• Analyze accounting and financial data
• Train, monitor and motivate staff
• Develop strategic plans and communicate business goals
• Improve administration processes
• Identify business opportunities
• Ensure good customer service and enhance efficiency
• Evaluate performance and productivity
• Research and identify growth opportunities
• Enhance the organization's image and meet overall growth objectives
• Maintain the organization's good standing in the community
• Possess a driver's license with a clean driving record 
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Experience in preparing a budget and operating to the budget
• Experience in building material operations and customer service
• Excellent communication skills and a welcoming, helpful attitude
• Superior knowledge of business functions
• Exceptional budgeting and finance skills
• Strong leadership qualities and work ethic
• Good interpersonal skills and proactive nature

Education/Experience :

• High School diploma
• Managerial experience
• Sales background
• Good Public speaker

The Building Center leverages its sizable regional presence to purchase and sell branded and commodity products at competitive market prices. Inventories are maintained and managed to meet the needs of individual markets, regional building practices, and metro architectural trends.

This level of ready product availability and service includes truss plants in north and central North Carolina and millwork/door shops in both the Triad and Charlotte metro locations. Additionally, custom millwork and prefab components are built-in Pineville, which also sources and fabricates exotic wood products like reclaimed lumber flooring, siding, cabinetry, and mantles.
