Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and Standard Plans are highly preferred.As a Construction Project Manager, you will work under the general direction of the Construction Manager and be responsible for all aspects of the project and oversight of assigned construction contracts.Apply today and be part of a team shaping the future of Sarasota County’s infrastructure!About This RoleGeneral Responsibilities include:Contract administration and oversight of contractor operationsConduct frequent field reviews to observe construction operations, temporary traffic control, erosion, and sediment controls, and meet with contractors or residentsConduct preconstruction, progress, and pre-activity meetingsPrepare general correspondence, meeting minutes, agenda, etc.Review for compliance and accuracy the construction schedule, daily reports of construction, test reports and material submittals, and permit requirementsMake recommendations for the resolution of project-related issuesReview and tabulate quantities for the monthly cut-off meetingProvide utility coordinationProvide claim negotiationProvide contract status reports for internal stakeholders and public consumptionProvide support/mentoring to lower-tiered project managersParticipate and/or lead in the Professional Solicitation Review Committee (PSRC), for the selection of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) firms that provide contract administration and oversight services on highly complex projectsParticipate and/or lead in negotiations for CEI contract scope, budget, and schedule with the selected firmMonitor the CEI performance, burn rate, and monthly request for paymentWork Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.About YouTo thrive in the Project Manager II role, you must have:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field AND three (3) years of related CIP experienceOR- Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field AND two (2) years of related CIP experience-OR- Project experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis depending on the type of experienceA valid Florida driver’s license at the time of hire.Starting Pay Range: $64,812.80 - $87,526.40/year, based on your experienceTo thrive in the Project Manager III role, you must have:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field AND five (5) years of related CIP experienceOR- Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field AND four (4) years of related CIP experience-OR- Project experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis depending on the type of experienceA valid Florida driver’s license at the time of hireStarting Pay Range: $71,302.40 - $96,283.20/year , based on your experiencePreferred "BONUS" Qualifications:Possess a valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseOur interview process could include phone interview(s), Microsoft Teams video interview(s), and/or in-person interview(s).If you are selected to join our team, please click on this link to review the Required First Day Documents.
