• Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions addressing critical issues such as addiction recovery, peer relationships, and self-esteem.

• Collaborate with educational staff, families, and local agencies to ensure students receive comprehensive support with a focus on academic achievement and emotional health.

• Facilitate workshops and informational sessions for students, parents, and staff on topics such as coping mechanisms, conflict resolution, and mental health resources.

• Advocate for students’ rights in accessing specialized services, ensuring they receive appropriate educational opportunities despite their circumstances.

• Document student progress, intervention outcomes, and any referrals made to external resources, maintaining confidentiality as required.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Texas.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working with at-risk youth, particularly those dealing with addiction challenges.

• Strong understanding of relevant educational laws, policies, and ethical considerations in school settings.
\n
• Exceptional skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and interpersonal communication.
\n
• A high level of empathy, cultural sensitivity, and capability in developing strong rapport with students and their families.

• Two or more years of experience in a school or educational setting, particularly within a substance abuse recovery framework.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records and student support software to document services and monitor student progress.

• Familiarity with community resources and programs beneficial for students facing addiction and behavioral challenges.
