Warehouse Picker

Description The Warehouse Picker is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and preparing products for customer orders in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role ensures that products are picked correctly, handled safely, and prepared for timely delivery to customers. Responsibilities Accurately pick products according to customer order sheets or RF scanning system. Build and stage pallets in a safe, organized manner for delivery routes. Verify product codes, quantities, and order accuracy before staging. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks safely. Understands and follows proper procedures for handling damaged products and repackaging. Conducts pre-operation inspections of warehouse equipment to ensure safe and proper function. Performs quarterly maintenance checks, including monitoring water levels and battery condition on equipment. Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area. Support general warehouse operations including housekeeping tasks. Assist with other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: Highschool diploma or GED equivalent Previous warehouse, distribution or order-picking experience is preferred Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack etc.) Basic math and reading skills for order verification Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands: This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products ranging from 25 to 170 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where steel-toed footwear is required.
