Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required. First-time travelers with strong progressive care unit experience are accepted. License: Active state license required. Certifications: BLS and NIH required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have: BiPAP/CPAP management. Blood product administration. Central line care/management. Chest tube management. Interpretation of dysrhythmias. Isolation precautions and PPE. Management of cardiac drips (no titration). Management of dysrhythmias. Nasal cannula and oxygen administration. Peripheral line care/management. Pre/post cardiac catheterization experience. Starting and maintaining IVs. Telemetry experience. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in cardiac telemetry care. The role involves monitoring patients with various cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include managing higher acuity cases and providing direct patient care. The nurse must be knowledgeable in interpreting telemetry readings and managing dysrhythmias. Floating within specialty as needed is required. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Weekend shifts are required on an every other basis. Holidays are also required as scheduled. The average daily census in the unit is approximately 30 patients. The patient age range includes adults and geriatrics with a variety of diagnoses. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in cardiac care and telemetry nursing practices.
