Shipping and Receiving SupervisorThis role oversees inventory management, shipping and receiving operations, and stand-up forklift activities in a growing distribution environment. The supervisor will establish and refine processes, lead daily warehouse operations, and play a key role in building and developing a new team. A strong focus on shipment inspection, quality control, and accurate documentation is essential.Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient movement of materials.Oversee inventory control processes, including counting, tracking, and reconciling warehouse inventory.Operate a stand-up forklift to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify quality, quantity, and compliance with documentation and standards.Document inspection results and maintain accurate records for shipments, inventory, and material handling activities.Coordinate warehouse operations, including staging, storage, and organization of materials to optimize space and workflow.Lead and support general labor and material handling tasks as needed to maintain smooth warehouse operations.Use RF scanners and related warehouse technology to track inventory and shipments in real time.Ensure adherence to safety procedures and best practices in forklift operation, material handling, and warehouse activities.Contribute to building and growing the team by supporting training, guidance, and day-to-day supervision of warehouse staff.Minimum of 3 years of experience operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment.Proven experience inspecting shipments to check for quality, accuracy, and compliance with documentation.Hands-on experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading, unloading, and processing orders.Strong background in warehouse inventory management and warehouse operations.Ability to supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and general labor activities.Proficiency in material handling, including safe movement and storage of goods.Experience using RF scanners or similar technology for inventory and shipment tracking.Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.Experience in a forklift-focused warehouse setting, including stand-up forklift operation.Experience in general labor and material handling within a warehouse or distribution facility.Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes, including cycle counts and stock reconciliation.Ability to document inspections and maintain clear, organized records for shipments and inventory.Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled distribution site.Employees benefit from a supportive environment where their contributions directly shape growing operations and future team development. Work involves regular use of a stand-up forklift, RF scanners, and standard material handling equipment. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with frequent movement of goods, general labor tasks, and coordination of shipping and receiving activities.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
