BDS is looking for a dedicated Refurbishment Technician II to join our team.

Your Impact at BDS

• Refurbish used office equipment for resaleability using industry best practices
• Manage and repair office equipment on site at our warehouse
• Assist technicians in salvaging refurbished parts to maintain maximum fleet uptime
• Develop and manage department reports shared across the organization up to and including the executive level
• Investigate and resolve advanced, high-level maintenance and repair issues.
• Manage accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Assemble machines as per specifications with hand and power tools and measuring devices.
• Run machines to test parts functionality.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and calibrations of office equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and identifying malfunctions as well as cause.
• Establish relationships with service technicians

What You Will Need to be Successful

• A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required, with a clean driving record and valid vehicle insurance
• Reliable transportation
• Strong computer literacy, especially with the MS Office suite: Excel, Word, Visio, etc.
• Knowledge of industry ERP systems (EAM, etc.) preferred but not required
• 3+ years of experience preferred in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of copier/printer office equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Industry knowledge of major copier and printer manufacturers such as Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, and/or Xerox preferred but not required.
• Networking knowledge preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills when delivering toner/parts to a customer
• Ability to adapt and work independently

Physical demands:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment parts and boxes

Position type and expected hours of work: Full Time, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Travel: Travel may be asked for but is not required. All travel in a personal vehicle is reimbursed via a per mile reimbursement.
