We are hiring an experienced Hot Side / Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to service commercial cooking equipment including fryers, ovens, grills, steamers, and warmers used in restaurants and foodservice operations. You will service customers throughout Tappan, NY and surrounding Westchester County / Northern NJ / NYC metro area.

  Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations
• Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
• Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers
• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies

• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial hot-side / food equipment repair experience REQUIRED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
• Own industry standard hand tools
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• EPA Universal certification preferred

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $35-45/hr per hour . Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced expertise in both commercial hot-side and cold-side equipment may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
